need a commission? Look me up!: [link]
I know nothing about violins, so don't quote me on this, BUT... don't violins have to be held higher on their neck?
Now THAT was nitpicky. ;) The eyes also do look a little wonky, but I think that makes this more appealing. It's kinda like he's flowing n with background. WIP, means your gonna colour it, right? I look forard to it.

Official Seal of Ayem Authenticity
I'm no violin expert, but usually when I see someone playing one, their head is tilted against the chinpiece... Of course, the pose's severity might lessen if you change it from a head-on glance, so...choose wisely :P

Other than that, hands look fine, instrument looks fine...everything's great and I really want to see it colored!

It can be, I think it depends on playing style.. or something. Like this [link] as opposed to [link]

Yeah I was wondering about the eyes myself, raising his right eye just barely might help that. And yes, this is no where near being completed, just threw in the color so it didnt look completely unpolished, hehe
Ahh I see what you mean. That would help, I think, to help his head better flow with the direction of the motion around him. Just tilting it right barely
The eyes are off. The right one (my right) is a bit higher. But thats a small, easy fix. :) Other than that, Nothing is hitting me as off. I dig the contour lines in the BG flowing with the implied motion. I hope those stay.

Yes, I agree

It's great how you made it seem like the sound waves are emanating from him as he plays. It's like seeing the music float through the air.
You know, now that a couple people have mentioned his eyes being off, I realized that I think I unconciously aligned his eyes to match the angle of the bow. I think the decision of fixing that would end up being compositional flow against realism. Do you have any thoughts on that?
i dont know if its supposed to be teh tilt of his head, but his eyes look a little slanted wierd, and fron about hip down looks a little feminately odd. other than that i think it looks nice, x)
